UPDATE (7th March 2010): Swamy Nithyanandha’s Public Statement regarding the scandal
I am not sure how many of you are aware of the current ongoing scandal involving the infamous Swamy Nithyananda with a purported Tamil film actress. A video has recently surfaced showing our swamy lying on the bed, having a good time watching the television with a lady by his side, a lady who they claim is none other than actress Ranjitha! I won’t be elaborating on what the video is all about so please come up with your own imagination by going through the screenshots above. (It’s awfully disgusting watching a saint doing all those yo-yo acts)
Everyone seems to be confirming that the ’swamy’ in that video is indeed, the swamy himself but no word of confirmation regarding the actress lady yet. Regardless of who she is, both of them are now in hot soup as the video had been broadcasted in Sun News (India) and currently spreading rapidly all over the world.
Swamy Nithyananda had visited Malaysia some time ago and he seems to be having quite a number of followers over here. Even I’ve seen lots and lots of banners, brochures and articles regarding this swamy all over the country. It would definitely be a brain-cracking issue for all his followers on how they are going to defend their ’saint swamy’ after this scandal emerged as it is way too obvious that what has been seen, cannot be “unseen”.
To be frank, I am not a big fan of being a follower for any kind of swamy, let alone their teachings and principles. Thus, this scandal makes no difference for me and I do pity the swamy actually. Just like all of us, swamy Nithyananda is a human being and he shouldn’t be deprived of his freedom to have some you-know-what. I am not in the position to defend his act neither to condemn it as I do not know a single thing about his “principles”, whether or not a swamy deserves to get laid.
But from what I have heard, it is ‘immoral’ to have sex/foreplay outside marriage and some might say that being a swamy equates to being an extreme saint which equates to the “sacrifice of extreme pleasure and lust”. If that’s the case, why he became a swamy in the first place and ended up being involved in a scandal later on?
Last but not least, can I expect some of his followers to move on to another swamy at this point?

Obviously he is a phony samiar who were able to emass wealth and followers througout the world. Gives a bad name to the genuine ones.

@Bai - Agreed. Just because a lot of swamy-jis are mushrooming all over the place, they shouldn’t be blatantly devoting themselves to these ’swamy-jis’, in terms of attention and money. If the same attention and money can be given to those kids in dire need of help, even the GOD himself would be very happy.

@Jackamaa - When this swamy Nithyananda ‘was genuine’, all of his followers would claim the same thing. Now that they have known his capabilities of flirting around, most of them seems to be condemning him.
You see, no one can tell exactly who is genuine and who is not. A samiyar might be a genuine person today, and become a porn star a few years later.
Always be cautious and alert in whoever you believe.
i read somewhr that the saamiyar had fight with his secretary(left handed) and she fixed the cam in his room and pass it to sun tv.. dunno how much that is true la..

A true swami can control all kind of feelings or emotions with ease, this so called swamji failed badly in this aspect. He is not eligible to guide others to the true path of life.

You would not believe how MANY of our Malaysian Indians are his followers. I myself was called to join and listen to his discourses, talks and meditations. But somehow or rather, I was not attracted to him at that time. And now, I am glad that I was not attracted.
Swami is a title given to great scholars and saints. And so is Paramahamsar. If the so-called “saint” actually indulges to fornication, what respect does he give to ochre cloth that he is wearing. He was even wearing that when Ranjitha was doing her “holy chores”. (quoted from her confession itself)
Yes Nithyananda, you might have donated thousand, maybe even millions of dollars world wide to charity and to the needy~but does that qualify you to be a Swami? Monetary succour is by no mean, an equality of holiness. Suppose if give a dollar to the beggar on the street, am I a Swami too? And If I drape an ochre cloth around me, would people start to worship me as well?
I am not God. And no man is. Those that came down on earth are either incarnations or messengers. (I would not even try to debate about polytheism in Hinduism, for God to me is Jyothi ultimately)
But why subject your whole life to these so-called “Saints”? If someone says something good, listen. And then use your discretion to follow. But don’t blindly worship humans, believe in shamanism or animal sacrifice. It’s wrong. Really wrong.
I have conflicting emotions to those followers of such cult groups, who are oft that not, Hindus. As much as they are gullible enough to fall into such deception of these religious leaders, I personally opine that Hindus are generally yearning for divinity and spirituality that they foolishly resort into believing anyone who says he is divine. We have many incidences in the past that have shown such similar occurrence. And poor Vivek; he has made enough satirical comedies about such Samiyars.
I guess it is time for people, and hopefully the devotees of Swami Nithyananda to finally separate their palpebrae and look at the obvious ostentatious display of unholiness of this man. Thanks to Lenin Karuppan (the man who planted the video camera), now the whole world would be able to see the real man behind the hypocritical mask. And no, it does not appear to be “morphed”.
And even if it morphed and he was actually framed-up, would God allow His true devotee to go through such sleazy defamation and endure such hardship?
He knows.

preeya, I agree with Jokka & Raja’s statment above. Why he should hide himself, he can straight prove he is not wrong what. And why they want to spoil his name, this should someone notice what he have been doing, then pasang camera. So member kena la. The best is, he is only 32 years old, normally swami ji will tavum edekeran for yrs, then they get the knowledge. Thats why most swamiji’s are old and even they can predict what going to happen. If he is true, why he cant even predict they gona pasang camera or someone gona kenakan him. If he cant predict for himself, how he gona predict good and bad thing about his follower?

I guess everybody would have heard about this Mahan, Visva Mitran….Even in some tamil movies, actors would compare the Mahan with their companion actor if their conduct has gone wrong….
Let me describe about Visvamitran first…There is a famous movie, called Raja Rishi where Sivaji Ganesan portray the role of Visva Mitran…The Great Mahan is the only Chatriyan who gained the title “Rishi”….Visva Mitran is the founder of Kayathiri Mantra….The Great Mahan himself has fallen for a girl…So, its not something “extraordinary” as Swami Nithyananda did this kind of thing….
Some of the Spiritual Gurus and Psychologists telling that Nithyananda has 2 personalities…One is The Paramahamsa Nithyananda, and the other one is Rajasekhar, which is his original personality….As the Swami’s journey for the Paramahamsa, he didn’t do anything about the Rajasekhar’s personality which has negative attributes…..That personality has affected him to do this kind of disgusting things…….
We have to wait and see what will happen next…This would be the barrier he has to face journey to the ultimate spiritualism….Human beings facing lots of struggles and problems in order to gain success in their respective fields…The path of spirituality is not easy as well…It may lead to several problems, including mental disorders….This would be the stepping stone for him, weather he’s really worthy or not for the community….Of course, the stain would be there…He has to achieve something extraordinary………..
