After Nithyananda’s release on bail, DGP posted the following on the social networking site: “Swami Nithyananda got bail. In his complaint Shri Lenin accused the swami of rape, unnatural sex, criminal intimidation and hurting religious sentiments.
Despite our best efforts, not a single ‘victim’ has come to us stating that the swamiji had unnatural sex with him/her or raped her. We got some emails from persons living abroad but they have not provided any evidence”.
He also wrote, “Why can’t you people motivate the ‘victims’ of swamiji to come out and give statements to us? So long as they keep quiet, what can the investigation do? The women in the tapes should depose that they were victimised. So far, this has not happened.” He also said that the probe into irregularities in funds was on.
The DGP’s rather innovative methods has had comments coming thick and fast on Facebook, some filled with contempt, some sympathetic.
Swami or minister?
Harsha Raju wrote that the Swami had gone on record to say that he was neither a man nor a swami. “The CID has no evidence against him, it seems. What is a video tape, then? If he was not guilty, why was he hiding then? I guess this is India. Same will be the case with Halappa (former BJP minister) — he will also come out on bail as no evidence will be found against him also. And people who call themseleves his devotees will be happy — wow! Time to become a swami or a minister...”
Paisa bolta hai
Vishal Diggewadi was contemptous about a corrupt system. “Paisa bolta hai India me, paisa feko tamasha dhekho, Everything happens for money. Pay millions in India and do anything, you will get bail. Or else have links with big ministers... hmmm... I agree ...India is great... someone said if you don’t belive in God, come to India... only God can run this country.”
However, the DGP’s post did find some sympathetic Facebookers. Radhe Shyam said the bail was not unexpected. “It was question of when rather than whether. No wonder, public opinion has softened its stand on the swamiji’s deeds. And if some sensational news surfaces, this swami will go free. Yes, the police are the victims of low conviction rates and all their efforts [will go in vain] with such judgments. But still, the police will have to work within the system.”
Writing in a similar vein, Anita Mendonca Mathias said, “Let us work towards forming a better and less corrupt system.”
The DGP also found a staunch supporter in Anoop S N who wrote, “This is happening because of us... not because of the money... not because of the police... not because of the system. We have developed this culture! We have no b***ls to fight for justice and we blame the system for everything. And so-called society, they will screw the lady who comes forward against the swami :( . And they might even worship the swami again.”
Anoop backs Guruprasad to the hilt, saying, “Don’t give up, sir... there is always hope... all this crap will go away when a generation awakes!” And then comes a word of advice for the top cop: “DGP CID, sir, pinpointing the issue will not work... you should try and restore faith in the police... only then will people desist from writing emails from a fake account. Facebook is a good step but caters to a small set of people. Only criminals should be scared of the police, not other people!”
And then, surprise, surprise, Shweta Srinivas rooted for the swami: “You can never believe in demigods... afterall they are also human... so no harm in them acting as one.”
Guruprasad, for his part, said he had created the Facebook account to be “people-friendly”.
“Whenever possible, I try to solve problems. The idea of this site is to make people aware of what we are doing at the CID and to take their help in solving the cases we are investigating”.

Nakkeeran Nithyananda Scandal Video
City Civil Court XV assistant judge A. Manickavasagar ordered the notice and posted the request for 8th March for further hearing. Nithyananda in his petition filed in the city civil court requested the judge to restrain Nakkeeran, Dinakaran and Tamil Murasu for publishing articles alongside photos of his scandal.
In his petition filed in the Civil court he stated that he has over 4.5 million devotees in 17 different countries and that he was providing free education to the needy, while conducting free medical camps for the poor, that are going to be effect by this sex scandal. He wrote in his petition that an inmate named “Premananda” A.K.A Lenin Karuppan from his mongrel videotaped his private pleasuring moments and tried to tarnish his public image.
He also said that he technologically altered the video before releasing it into the media and now Sun Television
In the reply of Nakkeeran Nithyananda scandal video, Nithyananda Mission’s website released a statement that goes something like this…. “At this moment, we feel that a mix of conspiracy, graphics and rumour is at play in these recent events that have unfolded.
The website also states that they are legally approaching and taking action against the responsible persons.
The next hearing will be held on 8th March, 2010 in the City Civil Court room.

'Smitten' Ranjitha exposed sex swami
Ashram sources say the Tamil star dreamt of a married life with Nityananda. Is believed to have hatched plot with swami's personal secretary
According to ashram sources, Tamil film-star Ranjitha dreamt of a married life with self-styled godman swami Paramhansa Nityananda and her possessiveness made her expose him on TV channels.
Ranjitha, who is three years elder to Nityananda (32), was married to an army officer with two children, when she was introduced to him three years back by veteran star K R Vijaya's niece Sudha, a full-time devotee.
"She was not a regular visitor in the beginning," said the source. "The swami's charm gradually made her fall for him and she even decided to shift base from Chennai to Bangalore." Ranjitha filed for divorce some time ago and the matter is pending in the court.
After getting intimate with the swami, she is understood to have asked him to marry her and even got a positive response.
Ashram sources say she could have convinced him by giving the instance of Vidyabhushan of Kukke Subramanya Matt, who renounced his sanyas to marry a medical student.
Lenin Karuppan, a close aide to the swamy, who owned up his role in taping the sexual acts, was also close to Ranjitha and used to call her 'anni' (sister-in-law) occasionally. Although Nityananda assured Ranjitha that he would marry her, he was worried about the property worth several hundred crore rupees that he would have to give up along with his sanyas.
Eventually, the swami not only turned down her proposal but also made things worse by seeing other women. A possessive Ranjitha pleaded with him several times and could have turned vindictive when her pleas fell on
deaf ears.
The plot
"I think Karuppan and Ranjitha hatched the plan together," said the source. "I recall that they spoke quite casually to each other since a long time."
Karuppan is also understood to have blackmailed the swami just a month ago but Nityananda was not in a position to oblige.
"Please don't force me to comment," said Swamy Sevanda, personal secretary to Nityananda. "I know both Karuppan and Ranjitha and also know that they are not honest," he said. There is also an unconfirmed report of Ranjitha attempting suicide on Saturday. She was learnt to be in Kerala yesterday.
'I'll come clean'
Meanwhile, Nityananda has uploaded his video statement on his ashram website from an undisclosed location. The statement says that the controversy is a conspiracy hatched against him and he would soon come out clean.

He alleged that the group that made the video and the TV channel which aired it had struck a deal. Lastly he added that the TV channel demanded Rs.50 crore from Swami Nityananda.
Meanwhile Ranjitha is said to have gone to Jaipur where her husband stays. He is said to an army officer and his relatives say that he know of the relationship between his wife and Nithyananda Swami.

BANGALORE: The Karnataka government on Thursday ordered a probe into the land held by spiritual guru Swami Nithyananda Paramahamsa following the revelation of video footage allegedly of him in a compromising position with a Tamil film actor.
"The land at Bidadi in neighbouring Ramanagaram district held by the ashram basically belongs to the government and hence a probe is now necessary," Karnataka home minister V S Acharya said in the legislative assembly. Replying to the opposition demand for the godman's arrest and confiscation of his property, he said: "When it is the government's land, it is ours. How can we confiscate?"
He said the land earlier reserved for cattle grazing had been given to the ashram some years ago. The Ramanagram deputy commissioner has been asked to conduct a detailed probe and submit his report to the government and initiate necessary action, Acharya said. "If there are violations regarding the grant, the government will take steps to get the land back," he added. He, however, assured stringent action against the absconding godman. Acharya said: "We're already in touch with the Tamil Nadu police, who have launched a manhunt for him."
Following a tip-off, he said forest department officials had conducted a raid late Wednesday night and managed to seize 26 kg of sandalwood at the Bidadi ashram. The ashram staff maintained that thieves who had stolen sandalwood trees from the premises had abandoned some logs while escaping, he added. Though there was information that deer and tiger skins were used in the ashram, Acharya said the officials did not find any such things.

The two cases have highlighted widespread abuse by Hindu holy men in India, where wanted criminals often pose as priests or take holy vows to avoid capture.
It has been alleged that temples have been used as covers for sex rackets and money laundering schemes.
Dwivedi was first arrested for running a massage parlour in 1997. He is believed to have been running a network of call girls throughout northern India.

இதுகுறித்து சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்ற வழக்கறிஞர் அருள்ரமேஷ் கூறுகையில், "இப்போது நித்யானந்தம் மீது 420, 295 பி ஆகிய பிரிவுகளில் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. மோசடி, மத உணர்வுகளைப் புண்படுத்தியது போன்ற பிரிவுகள் இவை.
இவை தவிர, அவர் மீது சமூக அமைதியைக் கெடுத்ததற்காகவும் அரசு நேரடியாக நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க முடியும். குண்டர் சட்டத்தில் கூட அவரை உள்ளே தள்ளலாம் அரசு நினைத்தால். ஆனால் செய்வார்களா தெரியவில்லை..", என்றார்.
வழக்கறிஞர் சரவணன் கூறுகையில், "சாமியாராக இருப்பவர்கள் இல்லறத்தில் ஈடுபடகூடாது என்று எந்த சட்டமும் கூறிவில்லை. ஒரு மைனர் பெண்ணிடம் அவள் விரும்பியோ, விரும்பாமலோ உறவு கொண்டால் குற்றம்.
ஆனால் வயதுக்கு வந்தவர்கள் விரும்பி உறவு வைத்துக் கொண்டால் யாராலும் கேட்க முடியாது. அது அவர்களின் தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கை.

എന്നാല് മറ്റു മൂന്ന് ആശ്രമങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ അത്ര നിസ്സാരമല്ല പുതിയ സംഭവം. സ്വാമി നിത്യാനന്ദ വസിയ്ക്കുന്ന ആശ്രമങ്ങള് കാണുന്നവര്ക്ക് അത് ബോധ്യമാകും. ആത്മീയ പ്രഭാഷണങ്ങൡലൂടെ ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് ഭക്തരെ സ്വന്തമാക്കിയ സ്വാമി നിത്യാനന്ദ ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്കകത്തും പുറത്തുമായി 33 ആശ്രമങ്ങള് സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടത്രേ.
ബാംഗ്ലൂര് നഗരത്തിന് പുറത്ത് ബിഡാദിയില് 25 ഏക്കര് പരന്നുകിടക്കുന്ന ആശ്രമത്തിലെ അന്തേവാസിയും സ്വാമിയുടെ മാധ്യമകാര്യവക്താവുമായ നിത്യ സച്ചിദാനന്ദ പറയുന്നത് ഭൗതിക സുഖങ്ങളും ആത്മീയതയും പരസ്പരം എതിരിട്ട് നില്ക്കുന്നതല്ലെന്നാണ്. 45കാരനായ സച്ചിദാനന്ദ താന് അമേരിക്കയില് ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായിരുന്നുവെന്നും ചിക്കാഗോയില്വെച്ച് നിത്യാനന്ദയുടെ പ്രഭാഷണം കേട്ടതിന് ശേഷം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അനുയായി ആയെന്നുമാണ് അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നത്.
ഭൗതികതയും ആത്മീയതയും ഒരേ സമയം പരിശീലിയ്ക്കാനാണ് നിത്യാനന്ദ ധ്യാനപീഠത്തിലുള്ള അന്തേവാസികളെ സ്വാമി നിത്യാനന്ദ പഠിപ്പിച്ചതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറയുന്നു. പുണ്യപുരാണ വേദങ്ങളില് പറയും വിധമാണെങ്കില് സന്യാസിവര്യന്മാര് മൂന്ന് ആശ്രമങ്ങള് പിന്നിട്ടാണ് സന്യാസത്തിലെത്തിച്ചേരുന്നത്. ബ്രഹ്മചര്യം, ഗാര്ഹസ്ഥ്യം, വാനപ്രസ്ഥം ജീവിതത്തിലെ മൂന്ന് ഘട്ടങ്ങള് പിന്നിട്ടശേഷമാണ് ഭാരത രാജ്യത്തിലെ ആദരണീയരന്മാരായ മിക്ക മഹര്ഷിവര്യന്മാരും സന്യാസത്തിലെത്തി ചേര്ന്നിരുന്നത്.
എന്നാല് കലികാലത്തെ ഹൈടെക് സന്യാസിമാരെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം സന്യാസത്തിനൊപ്പം അവര് കാമാശ്രമമെന്നൊരു പുതിയ തലത്തിലേക്ക് കൂടി പ്രവേശിയ്ക്കുകയാണെന്ന് പറയാം. നമ്മുടെ സന്തോഷ് മാധവന് സ്വാമിയും കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ദില്ലിയില് പിടിയിലായ ശിവ് മൂര്ത്ത് ദ്വിവേദിയും തമിഴകത്തെ ഇളക്കിമറിച്ച നിത്യാനന്ദ സ്വാമിയുമെല്ലാം ഈ ആശ്രമത്തിന്റെ വക്താക്കള് തന്നെ.
എന്നാല് മറ്റു മൂന്ന് ആശ്രമങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ അത്ര നിസ്സാരമല്ല പുതിയ സംഭവം. സ്വാമി നിത്യാനന്ദ വസിയ്ക്കുന്ന ആശ്രമങ്ങള് കാണുന്നവര്ക്ക് അത് ബോധ്യമാകും. ആത്മീയ പ്രഭാഷണങ്ങൡലൂടെ ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് ഭക്തരെ സ്വന്തമാക്കിയ സ്വാമി നിത്യാനന്ദ ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്കകത്തും പുറത്തുമായി 33 ആശ്രമങ്ങള് സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടത്രേ.
ബാംഗ്ലൂര് നഗരത്തിന് പുറത്ത് ബിഡാദിയില് 25 ഏക്കര് പരന്നുകിടക്കുന്ന ആശ്രമത്തിലെ അന്തേവാസിയും സ്വാമിയുടെ മാധ്യമകാര്യവക്താവുമായ നിത്യ സച്ചിദാനന്ദ പറയുന്നത് ഭൗതിക സുഖങ്ങളും ആത്മീയതയും പരസ്പരം എതിരിട്ട് നില്ക്കുന്നതല്ലെന്നാണ്. 45കാരനായ സച്ചിദാനന്ദ താന് അമേരിക്കയില് ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായിരുന്നുവെന്നും ചിക്കാഗോയില്വെച്ച് നിത്യാനന്ദയുടെ പ്രഭാഷണം കേട്ടതിന് ശേഷം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അനുയായി ആയെന്നുമാണ് അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നത്.
ഭൗതികതയും ആത്മീയതയും ഒരേ സമയം പരിശീലിയ്ക്കാനാണ് നിത്യാനന്ദ ധ്യാനപീഠത്തിലുള്ള അന്തേവാസികളെ സ്വാമി നിത്യാനന്ദ പഠിപ്പിച്ചതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറയുന്നു. (അങ്ങനെയാണെങ്കില് സ്വാമി നിത്യാനന്ദയുടെ ചെയ്തികളില് നമുക്ക് കുറ്റം കണ്ടെത്താനാവില്ല. ഭക്തര്ക്ക് സനാതന ധര്മ്മങ്ങള് ചൊല്ലിക്കൊടുക്കുകയും അതേ സമയം കിടപ്പറയില് ഭൗതിക ജീവിതം തേടുകയും ചെയ്തതിലൂടെ തന്റെ സിദ്ധാന്തങ്ങള് സ്വജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് സ്വാമി പകര്ത്തുകയായിരുന്നു.)
