Controversial self-styled godman Nithyananda and four of his associates have been accused of rape and unnatural sex in a charge sheet filed by CID in a court near here.
The 430-page charge sheet filed before Ramanagara Chief Judicial Magistrate on November 27 has named Nithyananda, Nitya Bhaktananda, Nithya Sachidananda, Nithya Sachidananda and Maa Sachidananda alias Ragini on the basis of two FIRs filed against them, a CID statement said here today.
While charges under IPC Sections 376 (Rape), 377 (Unnatural sex), 417 (Cheating) 506 (Criminal Intimidation) and 120 B (Criminal Conspiracy) have been made out against Nithyananda, Nithya Bhaktananda has been booked under IPC Section 212 (Harbouring an offender) and 120 (B).
Nithyananda, who ran an ashram at Bidadi in the city outskirts, was mired in a controversy and had absconded after a purported video footage of him in a compromising position with an actress was aired on local Tamil channels. He was arrested in Himachal Pradesh on April 21.
The charge sheet was filed by CID officer K N Yogappa, who investigated the complaint by two former disciples K Lenin of Chennai and T N Vishwanath after examining 101 witnesses in India and abroad and collecting more than 60 documents, it said.
Nitya Sachidananda, Nitya Sadananda and Maa Sachidananda have also been accused of assisting Nityananda in committing rape and unnatural sex.
Nithyananda and Nitya Bhaktananda, who were arrested from Himachal Pradesh have been enlarged on bail, while Nitya Sachidananda arrested recently is now in judicial custody. Maa Sachidanand and Nithya Sadananda have not been arrested.
During investigation, a woman witness, whose identity was kept confidential, appeared before the Investigating Officer and deposed that she was repeatedly raped by Nithyananda, not only at his Bidadi ashram but in other parts of the country as well, the CID said.
Nithyananda allegedly deceived the victim by stating she would achieve enlightenment if she subjected herself to his sexual demands and it would lead to the path of 'moksha' (salvation).
During investigation, a number of agreements signed between devotees and ashram authorities taking consent of devotees for taking part in 'tantrik sex' were also seized.
Many more such agreements were destroyed a few days before the case came to light, the CID said.
The video CD produced by the complainant while lodging the FIR was sent for forensic analysis, which confirmed the recording was genuine and the image was that of Nityananda.
Meanwhile hearing on the criminal petition filed by Nityananda seeking quashing of two FIRs was today adjourned by the High Court to December 1.

High court to proceed with Sex Swami Nithyananda case

Bangalore:  The Supreme Court on Friday directed the high court of Karnataka to proceed with the hearing of the case against Paramahamsa Nithyananda, though a special leave petition (SLP) was under its consideration.

A division bench comprising justices Harjith Singh Bedi and CK Prasad gave the go-ahead to the high court after hearing the arguments of the state's counsel Sanjay Hegde and Nithyananda's advocate KV Dhananjay.

The self-styled godman, Nithyananda, has been facing criminal charges, including rape.

Dhananjay countered the SLP saying that it was filed by the police to delay the outcome of the case. He also said that it was filed on frivolous grounds.

Criminal charges were slapped on Nithyananda after a television channel in March aired the visuals, purportedly of the godman in lewd acts with a Tamil actress.

Meanwhile, a disciple of Nithyananda, Nithya Sachidananda, was arrested by the CID for allegedly destroying evidence.

Nithyananda’s disciple remanded in four days police custody

A local court on Friday remanded Nitya Sachitananda, an associate of self-styled godman Nithyananda, in police custody till November 20.

Sachidananda, arrested by the CID here on Wednesday on charges of destroying an agreement signed by Nityananda’s followers and for criminal conspiracy, was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) at Ramanagaram, Roopa, who remanded him in four days police custody.

Meanwhile, Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, the spiritual organisation founded by Nityananda, has expressed “deep shock” and “anguish” at the arrest.

On November 16, Nithya Sachitananda was summoned for interrogation. He was charged under section 201 of the IPC (destruction of evidence) and was taken into custody.

Sachitananda was one of the co-accused named in the complaint lodged by a former disciple, Lenin Karuppan against Nithyananda, facing criminal charges including rape, in March this year.

The agreement, allegedly destroyed by Satchidananda, is said to mention the possibility of disciples being exposed to nudity.It reportedly came to light after Nithyananda’s arrest.

Nityananda landed in controversy in March after a local television channel aired a purported video footage showing him in a compromising position with a Tamil actress.

He was subsequently arrested in Solan district in Himachal Pradesh on April 21 and granted conditional bail on June 11.

: Nithyananda case adjourned to Nov 29

Bangalore, November 8:

The Karnataka High Court today adjourned till November 29 the hearing of a criminal petition filed by self-styled godman Nityananda, praying for quashing of two FIRs -- including rape -- filed against him.

When the matter came up before Justice Hulwadi G Ramesh, the CID sought more time stating that the investigation is incomplete and mentioned that they are yet to record the statements of two witnesses who are in USA. Justice Ramesh asked the CID that why can’t that be done over the phone?

Counsel for the petitioner, K V Dhananjaya, in his submission, said the FIR has detrimental consequences on the petitioner as his passport has been seized. “He has to receive his doctorate from a foreign university, but he is unable to leave the country,” he said.

Contending that the FIRs are illegal, he sought to dispose the matter. It could be recalled that on October 20, Justice Arali Nagaraj, who was hearing the case, posted it for final hearing on November 8. However, he had recused from hearing the matter.

Nityananda landed in a controversy in March after a television channel aired a purported video footage showing him in a compromising position with a Tamil actress. He was later arrested on April 21 and was granted conditional bail on June 11.

Devotees of Nithyananda have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Lenin in the Bidadi police station.

Lenin, the former driver of Nithyananda, had secretly video taped the godman’s activities with a woman and released the tape to the media and the police. The charges against Lenin, according to the devotees, have been framed after reading Lenin’s complaint to the police. The devotees, who claimed that they had filed the FIRs as aggrieved citizens of the country and not devotees of the beleaguered godman, said that Lenin’s actions amounted to trespassing, distributing obscene information, outraging the modesty of a woman, furnishing false information and making inciteful statements. They have also alleged that Lenin was responsible for portraying women in an indecent manner and publishing of obscene information by electronic means. Submit report The Ramanagara Magistrate Court has directed the Bidadi police to investigate Lenin and submit a report by October 30. The complainants said Lenin’s complaint had focussed worldwide attention on Nithyananda and portrayed him in a bad light even before the Court’s could take a decision on the matter. “We want Lenin to be investigated with the same enthusiasm as our Swami was arrested and investigated. Let the true story come out,” one of the devotees said.

Followers of self-styled godman Nithyananda Swami have filed a complaint in a local court against a former devotee, who shot the alleged footage showing him in a compromising position with an actress, seeking immediate action against him.

Failing to get their FIR registered, a follower along with a lawyer and a supporter proceeded to Magistrate Court in Ramanagara, on Saturday and filed a private complaint against Lenin, the followers said in a press release here.

The court has taken cognizance of the complaint and called for a sworn-in statement to be made by September four, the release said.

The followers alleged that they had tried to file an FIR against Lenin Karuppan but police refused to register it. A similar attempt to approach the office of the Superintendent of Police also met with the same result, the release said.

The followers alleged that Lenin had continued to abuse Nithyananda and the organisation in public and private forums accusing him of sexual misconduct.

Nithyananda was embroiled in a controversy after a purported video footage showing him in a compromising position with a Tamil actress was aired on some local TV channels in March. Cases of rape and other offences were registered against him in Tamil Nadu and transferred to Karnataka.

It is appalling on part of Nityananda and his supporters yearning to file a complaint against Lenin. On the other hand Lenin has only done a world of good by revealing the fake godman and police did the right by not filing the FIR against Lenin. It is high time Nityananda and his people realise that by trying to retaliate against Lenin they are showing they have not advanced an inch in spirituality. It is nothing short of politics. Disgrace! Deception!

I wonder how much these so called devotees are paid by this man to bring back his fame. People should stop blindly following and pouring money to any one who wears a saffron cloth, does some basic yoga, give basic Bhagavad Gita lessons.

லெனினை கைது செய்ய கோரும் நித்யானந்தா ஆதரவாளர்கள்!

பெங்களூர்: நித்யானந்தா- ரஞ்சிதா ஆபாசக் காட்சிகளை படமெடுத்த சீடர் லெனின் கருப்பனை கைது செய்யக் கோரி நித்யானந்தாவின் ஆதரவாளர்கள் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடத்தினர்.

பெங்களூர் பிடதியில் ஆசிரமம் அமைத்து நடத்தி வருபவர் நித்யானந்தா. இவரும் நடிகை ரஞ்சிதாவுடன் படுக்கையில் இருந்த காட்சிகளை முழுவதுமாக படம் பிடித்து அதை வீடியோவாக வெளியிட்டார் லெனின். போலீசாருக்கும் அந்த சிடிக்களை அவர் கொடுத்தார்.

இது தொடர்பாக நித்யானந்தா கைது செய்யப்பட்டார். பின்னர் அவர் ஜாமீனில் விடுதலையானார். தற்போது அவர் பிடதியில் உள்ள ஆசிரமத்தில் தங்கி வழக்கமான பூஜைகளை செய்து வருகிறார்.

இந்த நிலையில் நித்யானந்தா சாமியாரின் சீடர்கள் நூற்றுக்கணக்கானோர் பெங்களூர் [^] ராம்நகரில் உள்ள காவல்துறைக் கண்காணிப்பாளர் அலுவலகம் முன் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் செய்தனர். அப்போது முன்னாள் சீடர் லெனின் மீது போலீசார் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று கோஷம் எழுப்பினார்கள். அப்போது அங்கு எஸ்பி இல்லை. இதைத் தொடர்ந்து அங்கு மனு கொடுத்து விட்டு திரும்பினார்கள்.

இதற்கிடையே, பிடதி ஆசிரமம் ஒரு அறிக்கை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. அதில், "நித்யானந்தா மீது பொய் புகார் [^] கூறிய லெனின் மீது போலீசார் இதுவரை எந்த நடவடிக்கை [^]யும் எடுக்கவில்லை. அவர் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்று 2 முறை சீடர்கள் கோரிக்கை விடுத்தனர். தனிப்பட்ட முறையிலும் லெனின் மீது புகார் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. அதில் அவர் தொடர்ந்து ஆசிரமம் பற்றி தவறான தகவல்களை பரப்பி வருகிறார் என்றும் அவர் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் கூறி இருந்தனர்.

நேற்று மீண்டும் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடந்தபோது இது பற்றி பிடதி போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில் புகார் செய்யுமாறு போலீஸ் எஸ்பி அலுவலகத்தில் கூறினர்..." என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இதற்காக 25 லட்ச ரூபாய் கொடுப்பதாக நித்யானந்தா ஆசிரம தரப்பில் இருந்து பேசப்பட்டது. இதுவரை 18 லட்ச ரூபாய் கொடுக்கப்பட்டி ருக்கிறது. இந்த ரத யாத்திரையின் போது திட்ட மிட்டு சில இடங்களில் பிரச்சினை ஏற்படுத்தப் போகிறார்கள். இதன் மூலம் சட்டம்- ஒழுங்கு பிரச்சினையை உருவாக்கி அதன் மூலம் தி.மு.க. அரசுக்கும் நெருக்கடி கொடுப்பதுதான் அவர் களின் திட்டம். தேர்தல் நேரத்தில் இப்படி ஒரு நெருக்கடியை ஏற்படுத்த இப்போதே தயாராகி விட்டார்கள். இது மட்டுமின்றி வினாயகர் சதுர்த்தி தினத்தில் சென்னையில் ஒரு ஊர்வலம் நடத்தி பிரச்சினை உண்டாக்கவும் திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறார் கள்'' என்று அதிரடித் தகவல்களை சொல்லிக் கொண்டே போன சுரேஷிடம், "உங்களுக்கு எப்படி இந்த தகவல்கள் கிடைத்தன' என்றோம்.

""நித்யானந்தா ஆசிரமத்தின் தரப்பில் இருந்து செல்கின்ற இ-மெயில்களை ஆராய்ந்தாலே எல்லாம் தெரியவரும். அவர்கள் போட்ட திட்டங் கள், பணம் கொடுத்தது எல்லாமே நிரூபணமாகும். நித்ய பிராணானந்தா என்கிற சாமியாரின் இ-மெயிலில் இருந்து அனுப்பப்பட்ட இ-மெயில் கள் ஒரு சிலரின் மூலம் எங்களுக்கும் வந்தது. அதன் பிறகே இதைப்பற்றி முழுமையாக கவனிக்க ஆரம்பித்தோம்'' என்ற சுரேஷ், ""தமிழகத்தில் தி.மு.க. ஆட்சிக்கு எதிராக இப்படி ஒரு சதி செய்யப்படு கிறது என்பதை எங்கள் கர்நாடக மாநில தி.மு.க. தலைவர் பெரியசாமி.. துணை முதல்வர் அலுவல கத்தின் பார்வைக்கு இந்த தகவல்களை கொண்டு சென்றிருக்கிறார். கூடவே தமிழகத்தின் அனைத்து மாவட்ட கலெக்டர்களுக்கும் இந்த ரத யாத்திரை பற்றி அலர்ட் செய்து இ-மெயிலும் அனுப்பியிருக்கிறோம். தமிழகத்தின் சட்டம்- ஒழுங்கு பிரச்சினையை உருவாக விட்டுவிடக் கூடாது என்கிற அக்கறையோடு செயல் படுகிறோம்'' என்று முடித்தார்.

நித்யானந்தாவுக்காக ரதயாத்திரை நடத்தப்போகிறார் என்று சொல்லப்பட்ட நாகூர் தங்க.முத்துக்கிருஷ்ணனை தொடர்பு கொண்டோம். விஷயத்தை கேட்டதுமே, ""ஆமாம்... விரைவில் தமிழகம் முழுவதும் ரத யாத்திரை நடத்தப்போகிறோம். இந்து துறவியர்களே மோசம் என்பது போன்ற நிலைமை உருவாக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. இதை மாற்றவே ரத யாத்திரைக்கு திட்டமிட்டிருக் கிறோம். நான் ஏற்கனவே இரண்டு முறை ரத யாத்திரை நடத்திய அனுபவம் உள்ளவன். 42 நாட்கள் இந்த ரதயாத்திரையை நடத்த திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறோம். இன்னும் தேதி முடிவு செய்யவில்லை. இதற்காக இந்து அதிரடிப்படை என்கிற அமைப்பு உருவாக் கப்பட்டிருப்பது உண்மைதான். நான்தான் அந்த அமைப்புக்கு தலைவர்'' என்ற முத்துக்கிருஷ்ணனிடம்,

""நான் இப்போ பெங்களூர்ல இருந்துதான் உங்ககிட்ட பேசறேன். 4 நாட்கள் நித்யானந்தா ஆசிரமத்தில்தான் இருந்தேன். ரத யாத்திரையில் என்னோடு பங்கெடுக்க போகிற பழனி சந்திரசேகர் போன்றவர்களும் எனக்கு முன்பே ஆசிரமத்துக்கு வந்து சென்றிருக்கிறார்கள். வினாயகர் சதுர்த்திக்கு பிறகுதான் ரத யாத்திரையை தொடங்குவோம்.

ஆனால் வினாயகர் சதுர்த்தியின் போது நித்யானந்த வினாயகர் சிலையை உருவாக்கி சென்னையில் பொதுமக்கள் வழிபாட்டிற்காக வைக்கப்போகிறோம். இந்த ரத யாத்திரையால் எந்த பிரச்சினையும் வராது. ரத யாத்திரைக்கான செலவு முழுவதையும் மக்களிடமே கையேந்தி பெற இருக்கிறோம்'' என்கிறார் முத்துக் கிருஷ்ணன்.

ஆசிரம வட்டாரத்தில் விசா ரித்தபோது, ""தமிழகத்தில் தர்மா னந்தா (எ) லெனின் தந்த புகாரை வைத்து வழக்கு பதிவானது. இதன்பிறகு கர்நாடக மாநிலத்துக்கு நித்யானந்தா-ரஞ்சிதா சி.டி.வழக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டு நித்யானந்தா சிறைக்கு செல்லும் அளவிற்கு நிலைமை மாறியது. இதற்கு காரணம் சென்னையில் வழக்குப் பதிவானது தான். அதனால் தி.மு.க. அரசுக்கு எதிராகத்தான் நாங்கள் செயல் படுவோம்'' என்றார்கள்.

Bangalore: Devotees and supporters of self-styled godman Nityananda on Tuesday staged a protest outside the office of a top police official, demanding that an FIR be filed against a former disciple who shot the alleged footage, showing him in a compromising position with an actress.

A press release from Nityananda's ashram at Bidadi near here said police had not taken any action against Lenin, despite being approached twice by devotees in August.

They had also submitted individual complaints against Lenin stating that he was continuing to 'abuse' Nityananda, his organization and ashramites in public and private, it said.

Earlier this year, Lenin had gone on local and national TV to level certain allegations against Nityananda, following which the devotees approached the Ramanagar SP for action.

The SP was 'unavailable' to meet them on Tuesday and an FIR could not be lodged, it said,adding that Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sri Bisanahalli had directed them to return to Bidadi police station on Wednesday.

Nityananda was embroiled in a controversy after a purported video footage showing him in a compromising position with a Tamil actress was aired on some local TV channels in March.Cases of rape and other offences were registered against him in Tamil Nadu and transferred to Karnataka

This year was fun-filled for some of our self-proclaimed swamis; it seems they have drifted away from their ways of spirituality and were in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. The latest was the Swami Nityananda sex scandal who is said to have more than two million followers in 33 countries.

On March 4, a local Tamil TV channel played a video that showed him in a compromising position with two women.

After a month-long hunt on April 21, 2010, he was nabbed in Himachal Pradesh and was released on bail on 11th June.

I believe this is called ‘The Ultimate Godman’s power’.

Later on in an interview regarding his arrest, he said ‘I have not done anything against law’, and while stepping down, he made his driver a swami too.

These good-for-nothing swamis are good speakers who preach to people, play with their emotions and fool them in the name of God. They live on money from the unsuspecting devotee’s pocket, who’s more than willing to pay to compensate for his own sense of guilt.
For these so-called godmen, nothing is unattainable, forget nirvana; some of them are involved in the most heinous deeds possible such as kidnapping, murder and molesting kids, rape, spreading communal differences among people, and smothering harmony.
And if you think this was the first instance that rocked the nation, you are wrong. There have been numerous scandals that came into the limelight in the past but nothing has been done against them till now.

Hinduism already has more than 330 million gods, so then why do we need these self-made godmen in the way to get closer to our gods? And the worst part is, most of these godmen’s devotees are well-educated people of our society.

Isn’t it time to stop believing these fake godmen and find our own ways and means to God?
