NITHYANANDA FACES FRESH COMPLAINT OF FRAUD AND RACKETEERING IN USA

1 more complaint has been filed against Nithyananda in USA for FRAUD AND DECEIT, RACKETEERING, CIVIL CONSPIRACY and UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES, cheating the US government and donors by misusing the charitable, tax-exempt 501(c) status. The complaint (Case no. EDCV13-363-JGB, filed on 27^th Feb 2013 at the US District Court, Central District of California) has been filed by several ex-donors against Nithyananda, his secretaries and his organizations, allege that Nithyananda and his secretaries blatantly misrepresented Nithyananda as a Brahmachari, sanyasi living a simple life, and misrepresented the organizations as charitable institutions benefitting the society and extracted crores of rupees from them. But in reality Nithyananda’s intentions were to cheat the public, devotees and the US government by misusing his position as the leader of these organizations and charitable tax-exempt (501(c)) status of his organizations to privately benefit from it (refer pg 50 of complaint). The ex-donors have demanded the return of around $800,000 (around Rs. 4.5 crores) collected from them through fraud and deceit. However, the court could award 3 times that amount (almost Rs. 14 crores) as compensation, if the racketeering charges are confirmed in a trial.

The defendants named in the complaint are: (i) Nithyananda (Accused 1 in India), (ii) Gopal Reddy Sheelum @ Nithya Bhaktananda (Accused 2 in India) – already declared FRAUD by US Court in July 2012 in another case 5:11-CV-01304 SVW (SPx), Popatlal Savla vs Nithyananda Foundation (iii) Siva Vallabhaneni @ Nithya Sachitananda (Accused 3 in India), (iv) Nithyananda Foundation – also declared FRAUD by US Court in July 2012 in case no. 5:11-CV-01304 SVW (SPx), Popatlal Savla vs Nithyananda Foundation, (v) Life Bliss Foundation in Montclair (Los Angeles), California (vi) Nithyananda Dhyanapaatem Temple and Cultural Center (NDTCC) in Montclair (Los Angeles), California and (vii) Dhyanapeetam Charitable Trust in Bidadi, India

In July 2012, in the same California court, a jury reviewed all evidence and found Nithyananda Foundation and Gopal Reddy Sheelum guilty of committing fraud against another ex-donor Mr. Popatlal Savla and ordered them to return the $1.5 Million (~ Rs 8 crore) that was fraudulently obtained from him (see link below for judgment from that case). But the details of the allegations (which are explained below) and evidence presented in this latest complaint shockingly exposes well planned efforts and criminal intent of Nithyananda and his secretaries Gopal Reddy Sheelum (@Bhaktananda, A2) and Siva Vallabhaneni (@ Sachitananda, A3) to cheat the public and government.

The allegations in the complaint and other sections of interest are briefly explained below:

·  Fraud and Deceit (Refer complaint, Pg 17, 25, 28, 29, 37, 39-40, 47, 50-51)

Publicly and privately Nithyananda over emphasized that he lived a very simple life and he was a Brahmachari Sanyasi (Pg 17). He intentionally misrepresented his organizations as charitable tax-exempt (501(c) status) institutions exclusively for charitable activities for the benefit of the society. But in fact it was benefitting Nithyananda his secretaries, and other individuals, as large amounts collected in US were transferred to Nithyananda’s bank account. (Pg 28, 37)

· Nithyananda confessed about Sex with many and video being authentic: (refer Pg 25)

Nithynanda personally confessed to donors in March 2010 about video being true (not morphed as he alleged later), that he had sex with many persons, that the sex-contract (i.e. NDA or  Non-Disclosure Agreements) were being used for many years (atleast since 2005). Nithyananda also admitted that he misrepresented his organization as being charitable entities, because most of the money collected in USA through his organizations was sent to Nithyananda. (Refer Pg 25 for more details). Nithyananda and his secretaries have also confirmed about existence of the NDA (Non-Diclosure Agreement, better known as “sex contract”).  (refer Pg 40)

· Financial fraud by Nithyananda organizations: (refer Pg 28, 29, 47)

Nithyananda organization cannot account for more than $2 million, they have no records of how they spent $3.6 million!!! Based on evidence in previous trial (in Popatlal Savla vs. Nithyananda Foundation), an expert testified that Nithyananda entities have 2 sets of books, and worst of all, the books (financial records) were cooked to make $2 million profit turn into $2 million loss. More details in pg 28,29, 47

· Civil Conspiracy (refer Pg 29-33)

Nithyananda and his secretaries have elaborately planned to destroy evidence and strip all the assets of entities in Nithyananda organizations, to avoid paying if they face lawsuits. Nithyananda and his secretaries specifically discussed that many people have expressed about sexual abuse incidents happening to them, and so they were concerned about potential lawsuits. (Pg 31). Details of plans and email discussions are in pg 29-33 & Exhibit F

·  Racketeering (pg 16)

Nithyananda and his secretaries Gopal (Bhaktananda) and Siva (Sachitananda) operated the assets of the charitable organizations as their own personal ATM and piggy bank. Large sums of money moved from USA to India through Nithyananda’s brother’s company called “Nithyananda Import Export”.

While Nithyananda claims to have no connections whatsoever with Nithyananda Foundation or his other organizations, the complaint infact goes to say that Nithyananda controlled the organizations to such a great degree that Nithyananda and his Organizations are one and the same, there is no separation between them (Refer pg 13-15)

This latest complaint against Nithyananda, which is similar to a class action lawsuit, was filed by 6 ex-donors on 28^th Feb 2013. Interestingly, around the same time 3 years ago (on 2^nd Mar 2010), truth about Nithyananda came to light!

திருவண்ணாமலை: திருவண்ணாமலை நித்யானந்தா ஆஸ்ரமத்தில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த, 1,008 லிங்கங்கள் அகற்றப்பட்டது. தற்காலிகமாக நிறுத்தப்பட்டிருந்த அன்னதானம், மீண்டும் துவங்கப்பட்டது.
திருவண்ணாமலை, கிரிவலப்பாதையில் உள்ள நித்யானந்தா ஆஸ்ரமத்தில், மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக, 1,008 லிங்கம் அமைக்கப்பட்டு, தினந்தோறும் சிறப்பு பூஜை, கடந்தாண்டு அக்டோபர் மாதம் வரை நடந்தது.

இதை, அறநிலைய கட்டுப்பாட்டில் கொண்டு வருவதற்கான நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கபட்டது. தகவல் அறிந்த ஆஸ்ரம நிர்வாகம், உடனடியாக அங்கிருந்த, லிங்கங்கள் முழுவதும் அகற்றும் முயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டன. அங்கிருந்த சிலைகளை அகற்றி, அங்குள்ள ராட்சத கன்டெய்னரில் அடுக்கி வைக்கும் முயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டன.

போலீஸார், "வழக்கு நடப்பதால், அங்கிருந்து லிங்கங்களை அகற்றக்கூடாது' எனக்கூறி, தற்காலிகமாக நிறுத்தி வைத்தனர். தற்போது, நித்தியானந்தா ஆஸ்ரமத்தை, அறநிலையத்துறை சார்பில் கையகப்படுத்த, உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் தாக்கல் செய்யப்பட்ட மனு, தள்ளுபடி செய்யப்பட்டது.

ರಾಮನಗರ: ಬಿಡದಿ ಬಳಿಯ ಧ್ಯಾನಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಇ¨ªಾನೆ ಎಂಬ ಸುಳಿವು ಕೊರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದನ ಗಡಿಪಾರಿಗೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿ¨ªಾರೆ. ಬುಧವಾರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಜನಪರ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ರಾಜಾÂಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ರಮೇಶ್‌ ಗೌಡರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಧ್ಯಾನಪೀಠದ ಮುಂಭಾಗ ಧರಣಿ ಕುಳಿತು ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದನ ಗಡಿಪಾರಿಗೆ ಆಗಹಿಸಿದರುÅ. ಆರತಿರಾವ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ರಂಜಿತ ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ನಂತರ ಈತನಿಂದಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳಂಕ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಈತನನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯದಿಂದಲೇ ಹೊರದಬ್ಬುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ¨ªಾರೆ. ಮುಚ್ಚಳಿಕೆ ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಆಕ್ರೋಶ: ಕೆಲವು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಧ್ಯಾನಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಮುಚ್ಚಳಿಕೆ ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದರೂ ನಿನ್ನೆ ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನಿಂದ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಧೀಕ್ಷೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಸಿ¨ªಾನೆ. ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಆ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಬಿಡದಿಯ ಧ್ಯಾನಪೀಠಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಜಿÇÉಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬರದುಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಮುಚ್ಚಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸಿ¨ªಾನೆ ಎಂದು ರಮೇಶ್‌ ಗೌಡ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ¨ªಾರೆ. 2013ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 1ರೊಳಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೊರೆಯಬೇಕು, ಜಿÇÉಾಡಳಿತವಾದರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಗಡಿಪಾರು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಧ್ಯಾನಪೀಠಕ್ಕೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯದಿಂದ ಓಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಗ ಆಗುವ ಎÇÉಾ ಅನಾಹುತಗಳಿಗೂ ಜಿÇÉಾಡಳಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿ¨ªಾರೆ. ಇದೇ ದಿನ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನವ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಸೇನೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಕೂಡ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದನ ಗಡಿಪಾರಿಗೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿ¨ªಾರೆ.

மதுரை ஆதீனம் தொடர்ந்த வழக்கை ரத்து செய்யக்கோரி நித்யானந்தா மனு தாக்கல் செய்துள்ளார். நித்யானந்தாவுடன் இணைந்து ஏற்படுத்திய மதுரை ஆதீன அறக்கட்டளையை மதுரை ஆதீனம் கலைத்தார். அறக்கட்டளை அறக்கட்டளை கலைக்கப்பட்டது செல்லாது எனக்கூறி மதுரை கோர்ட்டில் நித்யானந்தா மனு தாக்கல் செய்துள்ளார். 

இதன் மீதான விசாரணை நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. இந்நிலையில் நித்யானந்தா மதுரை ஷெசன்ஸ் சப் கோர்ட்டில் புதிதாக மனு ஒன்றை தாக்கல் செய்துள்ளார். அதில், அறக்கட்டளையை அரசின் முன் அனுமதி பெற்றுத்தான் கலைக்க வேண்டும். ஆதீனம் முன் அனுமதியின்றி கலைத்துள்ளார். 

எனவே அறக்கட்டளை கலைக்கப்பட்டது செல்லாது என கூறியுள்ளார். இதனை விசாரித்த நீதிபதி நித்யானந்தா மனு தொடர்பாக வரும் 10ம் தேதிக்குள் பதிலளிக்கும்படி மதுரை ஆதீனத்துக்கு உத்தரவிட்டார்.

Madurai Adheenam & Nithyananda’s petition dismissed

The principal sub court here on Saturday dismissed the petition filed by Madurai adheenam

Arunagirinatha Desikar, in his plea, had also requested the court to dismiss the case filed by the Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR and CE), seeking his removal from the Madurai adheenam.

Stating that HR and CE department’s earlier plea filed in 1984 to remove him from the mutt was dismissed in 2001, he said that the case before the principal sub court here should be dismissed.

Principal sub-judge K. Guruviah, however, noted that the HR and CE department had filed a petition to revive the case. Therefore, he dismissed Arunagirinatha Desikar’s petition. The judge also declined to issue directions to the sub-registrar of Madurai South to cancel the registration of the Trust formed in collaboration with Nithyananda.

Nithyananda, in an impleading petition, sought to name the HR and CE Commissioner and Madurai South sub-registrar as respondents in the Adheenam’s case. It was also dismissed on Saturday.

The HR and CE department has accused the Madurai adheenam of trying to amass the mutt’s wealth by bidding to sell the properties for a cheap price. Arunagirinathar did not get permission from the department before forming a trust with Nithyananda, said HR and CE Commissioner P. Dhanapal in a petition, through which he also sought Arunagirinathar’s removal as the Madurai Adheenam. The HR and CE department’s case has been adjourned to Monday.

பெங்களூர் : ‘குண்டலினி யோகா என்ற பெயரில் நித்தியானந்தா மக்களை ஏமாற்றி வருகிறார்’’ என்று கர்நாடகாவை சேர்ந்த நிருபர் கிரண் குமார் கூறினார்.. பெங்களூரில் நேற்று அவர் அளித்த பேட்டி: கடந்த 15ம் தேதி குரு பூர்ணிமாவை முன்னிட்டு பிடதியில் உள்ள நித்தியானந்தா ஆசிரமத்துக்கு செய்தி சேகரிக்க சென்றேன். அப்போது, நித்தியானந்தா, குண்டலினி யாகம் நடத்தினார். அதில், மனிதனுக்குள் தெய்வீக சக்தியை வரவழைத்து ஒரு அடி உயரம் அந்தரத்தில் பறக்க வைக்க முடியும் என அறிவித்தார். இதை யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் முயற்சி செய்து பார்க்கலாம் என்றார். நானும் முயற்சி செய்தேன். எதுவும் நடக்கவில்லை.

உடனே அவரிடம், ‘எனக்கு பறப்பது போன்று எந்த உணர்வும் ஏற்படவில்லை. நீங்கள் மக்களை ஏமாற்றுகிறீர்கள். அதற்காக, ஆட்களை நியமித்து நாடகம் நடத்துகிறீர்களா, கம்ப்யூட்டர் யுகத்தில் இது சாத்தியம் இல்லாதது’ என்றேன். அதற்கு அவர் பதில் சொல்ல முடியாமல் திணறினார். ‘எனது உடல் அமைப்புதான் இளைஞனை போன்றது. உணர்வுகள் 6 வயது சிறுவனை போன்றது. எனவே, எனது சக்தி  அபிரிமிதமானது’ என்று சம்பந்தம் இல்லாமல் எதைஎதையோ பேசினார்.

இது குறித்து ரஞ்சிதாவிடமும் கேட்டேன். ஆனால், அவர் மழுப்பலாக சிரித்தார். எனது இந்த அனுபவத்தின் மூலம், நித்தியானந்தா போலி சாமியார் என்பதை தெரிந்து கொண்டேன். குண்டலினி யோகா என்ற பெயரில் மக்களை ஏமாற்றுகிறார். பிடதியில் விவசாயம் செய்வதற்காக வழங்கப்பட்ட நிலத்தில், அவர் ஆசிரமம் அமைத்து மக்களை ஏமாற்றி வருகிறார். இது குறித்து அரசுக்கு பலமுறை மனு அளித்தும் நடவடிக்கை இல்லை. இனி மேலாவது அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கவேண்டும்.

Godman Nithyananda's case stuck as files move between courts

The case against the controversial godman Swami Nithyananda still waits to be committed to trial after the CID filed the chargesheet in November 2010.

The delay is due to case files being shuffled between the Ramanagaram court and the High Court.

A recent application by the special public prosecutor seeking a direction for the medical examination of Nithyananda under section 53 (A) of the CrPC, has been challenged by Nithyananda. The Ramanagaram court is unable to dispose of the application as the case files are in the High Court.

The prosecutor said that the report received from the forensic expert on the video-recording was positive and that the image found in the video was conclusive of the presence of Nithyananda.

“ Medical examination of the accused in a case of rape is mandatory. When he was arrested, this examination could not be conducted as there was no victim then. Subsequently, a victim from the US approached the CID and gave a statement. Now, the accused has to go through the medical examination,’’ special public prosecutor K. Janardhan said.

Nithyananda challenged the application for his medical examination and moved another application stating it would be breach of privacy. The Ramanagaram court could not dispose of this application as the files relating to the case are in the High Court.

Moreover, the prosecutor said that the case was yet to be committed to trial as there have been several applications filed before the Ramanagaram CJM court on the chargesheet filed by the CID.

“Accused number 5 in the case (Maa Sachidananda alias Ragini) was denied court permission to travel to the US. But, accused number 2 (Nithya Bhaktananda alias Gopala Seelam Reddy) went to the US and had to return on May 12. He did not return and, through his advocates, moved another application seeking extension. The CID submitted an objection to this in a sealed envelop and stated that the accused were travelling to the US to tamper with the evidence and the only victim who lives there" Mr Janardhan said.

The Ramanagaram court refused to grant the extension sought. The CID stated that the accused who went to the US have lodged several complaints against the victim in an attempt to threaten her.

The CID has examined 101 witnesses spread across the country and even abroad and submitted a 430-page chargesheet against Nithyananda and others.

The CID stated in the chargesheet that during the investigation a woman from the US appeared before the CID and deposed that she was repeatedly raped by Swami Nithyananda not only at his ashram in Bidadi, but in other parts of the country.

The swami allegedly told the victim that if she subjected herself to his sexual demands she would achieve enlightenment and that sex with Swamiji was the path to moksha.

The CID also placed before the court agreements signed between the devotees and ashram authorities taking the consent of the devotees for partaking in tantrik sex.

(Accused) Nithyananda allowed to travel - only to Manasarovar

A court in Ramanagaram has granted permission to Nithyananda to make a pilgrimage to Mansarovar, on the condition that he return his passport to police by July 27.

Nithyananda had requested the court to allow him to visit Mansarovar, saying that he made an annual pilgrimage to the holy shrine in Tibet. He had pleaded the court to allow him to use his passport. The CID police have impounded Nithyananda’s passport.

Following the court order, Nithyananda’s close aide Swamy Sachidananda landed up at the CID office and submitted an authorisation letter, and collected the passport.

State appointed C H Jadhav in Nithyananda case

BANGALORE: The State Government has appointed former public prosecutor C H Jadhav to represent the State in the cases filed against self-styled godman Nithyananda in Bidadi Police Station.

The government, besides appointing Jhadav as the Special Public Prosecutor in Crime No 141 of Bidadi police station through a notification issued on May 30, has stated that Nithya Dharmananda alias K Lenin should bear all the remuneration and salary of Jadhav. Incidentally, Jadhav has appeared for Lenin in the petitions filed by him.

Court summons against Lenin quashed

BANGALORE: The High Court has quashed the summons issued against Lenin Karuppan, former driver of the selfstyled godman Paramahamsa Nithyananda, by JMFC Court Ramanagar following a complaint by Anjula Jackson, a foreign devotee of the tainted seer.

Lenin had moved the court challenging the JMFC Court's issue of summons. Anjula, lodging a complaint with Ramanagar police, had alleged that he had violated Nithyananda's privacy, trespassed the living quarters of the selfstyled godman besides defamed the 'seer'. Later, the case was refereed to Bidadi police station.

The petitioner submitted that allegations made by the complainant did not satisfy the ingredients of the offence alleged against him. Taking cognizance of such a complaint and issuance of summons was bad in law and without application of mind by the Judge.

He also contended that the complaint was vexatious and an act of vengeance and as a consequence, following the complaint lodged by him against Nithyananda proceedings and sought to quash the complaint.

Hearing the petition Justice K V Keshavanarayana disposing off the petition filed by Lenin, directed the magistrate to consider the complaint afresh and quashed the order dated August 28, 2010 and the cognizance taken on October 30, 2010.

லெனின் கருப்பனுக்கு சம்மன்: உயர்நீதிமன்றம் தடை

பெங்களூர், மார்ச் 31: நித்யானந்தாவின் முன்னாள் சீடர் லெனின் கருப்பனுக்கு கீழ்நீதிமன்றம் அனுப்பிய சம்மனை நிறுத்தி வைத்து உயர்நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

நித்யானந்தாவின் பெண் சீடரான அமெரிக்காவை சேர்ந்த அஞ்சுளா ஜாக்சன், லெனின் கருப்பனுக்கு எதிராக 2010 ஆகஸ்ட் 28-ம் தேதி ராமநகரம் மாவட்ட நீதிமன்றத்தில் வழக்கு தொடர்ந்திருந்தார்.

 அதில், இந்திய தண்டனை சட்டத்துக்கு எதிராகப் பல்வேறு குற்றங்கள் இழைத்து நித்யானந்தாவுக்கு எதிரான வீடியோவை லெனின் கருப்பன் தயாரித்துள்ளதாக தெரிவித்துள்ளார். மேலும், இந்திய சட்டம், தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப விதிகளுக்கு எதிராக செயல்பட்டு, தனி நபர் சுதந்திரத்தில் அத்துமீறி நுழைந்துள்ளதாகப் புகாரில் அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

இதை விசாரித்த மாவட்ட நீதிமன்றம், லெனின் கருப்பனை நீதிமன்றத்தில் ஆஜராகும்படி சம்மன் அனுப்பியது. இதற்கு லெனின் கருப்பன் ஜனவரி 13-ல் உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் இடைக்காலத் தடை பெற்றார்.

இந்தத் தடையை நீக்குவதற்காக அஞ்சுளா ஜாக்சன், உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் மனுதாக்கல் செய்திருந்தார். இதை வியாழக்கிழமை விசாரித்த நீதிபதி கே.என்.கேசவநாராயணா, ராமநகரம் மாவட்ட நீதிமன்றத்தில் லெனின் கருப்பனுக்கு பிறப்பித்த சம்மனை நிறுத்தி வைத்து உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார். மேலும், சம்மன் உத்தரவை மறுபரிசீலனை செய்யுமாறும், சட்டத்துக்கு உட்பட்டு ஆணை பிறப்பிக்குமாறும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

Bangalore, Mar 31 (PTI) The Karnataka High Court today set aside a lower court order issuing summons to Lenin Karuppan, a former disciple of self-styled godman Nityananda on a complaint against him by a woman disciple.

Single Judge Justice K N Keshavanarayana set aside the Judicial Magistrate Ramanagara Court's October 30, 2010 order of issuing summons against Lenin, who blew the lid off the alleged sleaze activities involving Nityananda and a Tamil actress.

The court also directed the Judicial Magistrate to reconsider the order and pass an order in accordance with law.

Lenin had shot the controversial video purportedly showing Nityananda in a compromising position with a Tamil actress.

Nityananda's US-based devotee Anjula Jackson had filed the complaint against Lenin on August 28 2010, alleging he had committed various offences under provisions of IPC when making the video.

Lenin, she said, had violated Indecent Representation of Women Act and Information Technology Act and had also tresspassed into private property when shooting the video.
Nithyananda landed in controversy in March 2010 after a local television channel aired a purported video footage showing him in a compromising position with the actress.
He was subsequently arrested in Solan district in Himachal Pradesh on April 21 and granted conditional bail on June 11.
