CM had praised tainted swamy while accepting donation for a state-run scheme
Amid reports of alleged amorous adventures of Tamil Nadu-based Swami Nityananda Dhyanapeetam involving some south Indian actresses, the swami has left some memories in Gujarat as well.
Last September, Swami Nityananda was in Vadodara for one of his programmes, where he donated Rs 2.50 lakh to the state government-run Kanya Kelavni (Girl Child) Scheme.
At the congregation held on September 10, at the Navlakhi compound, Swami Nityananda was specially invited to give a discourse,
Accepting the Swami's donation, Chief Minister Narendra Modi,
who paid public obeisance to the swami on the dais, had commented that while the state has been visited by many people, it was the first time that a godman has actually used such a platform and given the state something.
