Nithyananda files fresh petition

Bangalore, Dec 28, DHNS:

Self-styled godman, Nithyananda has filed a fresh petition at the High Court seeking to quash the FIR against him lodged by Lenin Karuppan at Cubbon park Police Station.

Following the high drama at the Press Club on December 10, when some of the followers of Nithyananda interrupted his press conference, Lenin had lodged a complaint against Nithyananda and his followers Padmini, Preethi, Pranava, Priyananda, Pranananda, Shantananda. Nithyananda is accused no 7 in the matter.

Lenin, the complainant in the Nithyananda case, was speaking in public for the first time after his complaint against Nithyananda and the subsequent CID charge-sheet against the controversial godman.

Lenin had stated that the incident is a proof that there was a threat to his life.
Lenin during this time had alleged that at least 50 people whom the godman abused sexually had a non-disclosure agreement with him.Lenin had also alleged in the briefing that Nithyananda had offered him Rs 20 crore to remain silent.
