Nithyananda skips ‘shahi snan’ at Mahakumbh

Despite being elevated to the rank of a “mahamandaleshwar” (a top religious title) in a clandestine manner a few days ago, tainted self-styled godman Nithyananda’s wish to join the top ranking sadhus in taking the holy dip at sangam remained unfulfilled as he skipped the “shahi snan” (royal bath) fearing protests.

Nithyananda, who had been conferred the title of mahamandaleshwar by the Mahanirvani Akhara on Tuesday, could have joined the shahi snan as the mahamandaleshwars are entitled to march in the royal processions to the banks of the sangam and take the holy dip.

The self-styled godman had earlier participated in the shahi snan as an ordinary devotee. In fact, it was alleged that Nithyananda had bribed his way to get the rank of a mahamandaleshwar. 

“His image had taken a beating after the sex scandal and he wanted to get himself elevated to the rank of a mahamandaleshwar so that he could join the top seers of the country,” said an office bearer of the All India Akahara Parishad, the apex body of the 13 Akaharas in the country.

The Parishad president Mahant Gyan Das also alleged that Nithyananda had “acquired the rank with the use of money”. He said that a meeting of senior sadhus would be convened to discuss the matter and Nithyananda could be suspended if there was a consensus.

According to sources, the function in which Nithyananda had been anointed as mahamandaleshwar was a closely guarded secret and other akaharas were not informed about it nor were the Mahakumbh officials invited as has been the tradition.

The anointment had triggered a wave of protests from other prominent akharas and sadhus though the Mahanirvani akhara strongly defended its action. 
The akahara said that Nithyananda wanted to avoid any confrontation and therefore skipped the shahi snan.

Ban Nithyananda from Kumbh Mela: Sadhus Object

Opposition for Nithyananda at Kumbh Mela

A tent (pandal) is being decorated in Kumbh Mela for Dhyanapeetam and Swami Nithynanda. Even before Nithynanda has arrived at Kumbh Mela, his 8-feet moorthy has been decorated and being worshipped with puja and arati. Many saints have raised objections over the controversial godman being in the Kumbh Mela.

The saints have warned that just by “ganga snan” (bathing in the ganges) his sins will not be washed away, his actions (karma) also speak. 4^th February Nithyananda will come to Kumbh mela and not only give darshan but also give discourses to the public and conduct 2 yagnas everyday. He will be in Kumbh for 10 days, but the saints and sadhus have appealed to the administration to ban Swami Nithyananda from Kumbh Mela.

[Spokesperson for Kumbh Mela says] “Such persons should be stopped from coming to Kumbh Mela. His presence will have a strong negative impact on the public visiting the Kumbh, so such a person should not be allowed to come, he should be banned. If the administration doesn’t take this step, the Akhada will talk to them and will make every effort to take such action.”

Nithyananda was caught in a sex scandal in 2010 and went to jail, so there is strong opposition against him coming to Kumbh. With the raising of such objections and discussions, the Kumbh Mela administration also is keeping an eye on Swami Nithyananda and his ashram activities.

ಒಬ್ಬ ಪೀಠಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಅನೈತಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿರುವ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಮಹಾ ಕುಂಭಮೇಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವುದು ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಡವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಂಥ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ಭಕ್ತರ ನಿಯೋಗವೊಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೆ ಕುಂಭಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದನ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಸಹಜ, ವಿಕೃತ ನಡವಳಿಗೆ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆರಳಿಸಿದೆ.

. கெடுபிடி காரணமாக நித்தியானந்தா தனது பிறந்த நாள் விழா வை, திருவண்ணாமலை ஆசிரமத்திலேயே எளிமையாகக் கொண்டாடி முடித்ததில், சீடர் களுக்குப் பலத்த ஏமாற்றம்! உலகம் முழுவதும் ஆசிரமங்களை அமைத்தும் பிரபலம் ஆக முடியாத நித்யானந்தா, ஒரே ஒரு வீடியோவால் தலைமறைவு, தப்பி ஓட்டம், அதிரடிக் கைது என சர்ச்சைகளின் நாயகன் ஆனார். அடுத்து, மதுரை ஆதீனத்தோடு கைகோத்து தன்னை அடுத்த ஆதீனமாக அறிவிக்க வைத்தார். இதனால், மதுரை ஆதீனம் அருணகிரிநாதருக்கு அடுக்கடுக்காகப் பல பிரச் னைகள் ஏற்பட, நித்தியைக் கை கழுவியதோடு அவரது சீடர்களையும் ஆசிரமத்தில் இருந்து வெளியேற்றினார். அதைத் தொடர்ந்து தன் பூர்வீக இடமான திருவண்ணாமலை ஆசிரமத்தி​லேயே தங்கினார் நித்தி. அந்த ஆசிரமத்தையும் இந்து அறநிலையத் துறையினர் தங்கள் கட்டுப்பாட்டுக்குக் கொண்டுவர நோட்டீஸ் கொடுத்தனர். ஆடிப்போன நித்தி, மூத்த வழக் கறிஞர்கள் சிலருடன் ஆலோசனை நடத்தி, கோர்ட்டுக்குச் சென்றார். கடந்த ஒரு மாதத்துக்கும் மேலாக அவர் எங்கே இருக்கிறார் என்றே யாருக்கும் தெரியாமல் இருந்தது. இந்த நிலையில், 

கடந்த 6-ம் தேதி அவருடைய 36-வது அவதாரப் பெருநாள் விழாவை (அதாங்க, பிறந்த நாள் விழா!) பிரமாண்டமாகக் கொண்டாடத் திட்டம் போட்டிருந்தார். அதற்காக அண்ணாமலையார் கோயில் ராஜகோபுரம் எதிரே மேடை அமைக்கப்​பட்டு இருந்தது. ஒயிலாட்டம், புலியாட்டம், தாரை தப்பட்டை, கேரள செண்டை மேளம் முழங்க மாட வீதிகளில் உற்சவ மூர்த்திகளுடன் வீதி உலா, ஆசிரம வளாகத்தில் சத்சங்க விழா, பின்னர் பக்தர்​களுக்கு ஆசி வழங்குதல் என ஏற்பாடுகள் செய்யப்பட்டு இருந்தன. பிறந்த நாளான 6-ம் தேதி அதிகாலையில் நித்தியின் வருகைக்காக அண்ணாமலையார் கோயிலில் அவரது சீடர்கள் காத்திருந்தனர். நேரம் ஆனதே தவிர, அவர் வரவில்லை. 

பிறந்த நாள் தொடர்பான நிகழ்ச்சிகள் அனைத்தும் ரத்து செய்யப்பட்டு, ஆசிரமத்தை விட்டு வெளியே வராமல் சிறை வைக்கப்பட்டவர்போல் அங்கேயே இருந்தார். நித்தியின் பக்தர்கள் சிலரிடம் பேசியபோது, ''சுவாமியின் பிறந்த நாள் விழாவை எப்போதும் கோலாகலமாகக் கொண்டாடுவது வழக்கம். பிறந்த நாள் அன்று அதிகாலையிலேயே அண் ணாமலையார் கோயிலுக்கு சீடர்களுடன் வந்து அபிஷேகம் செய்வார். அதன்பின், அருண கிரிநாதர் சன்னதிக்குச் சென்று அங்கேயும் பூஜைகள் செய்வார். இந்த முறை அபிஷேகத்துக்கு சுவாமியுடன் ஐந்து பேரைதான் அனுமதிக்க முடியும் என்று கோயில் சார்பில் சொல்லப்பட்டது. இதனால் பிறந்த நாள் அதுவுமாக காலையிலேயே ஏன் வீண் பிரச்னை என்று கோயிலுக்கே வராமல் இருந்து விட்டார். அதற்குப் பதில், பெங்களூரு கருமாரியம்மன் ஆசிரமத்தின் மதுக்கர் சுவாமிகளுடன் அவரது முக்கியச் சீடர்கள் கோயிலுக்கு வந்து பூஜைகள் செய்துவிட்டுச் சென்றனர். மற்ற நிகழ்ச்சிகளையாவது சிறப்பாக நடத்த இருந்தோம். ஆனால், நகரில் எங்களது விழாவுக்கும் ஊர்வலத்துக்கும் அனுமதி தர போலீஸார் மறுத்து விட்டனர். 

இதனால், அந்த நிகழ்ச்சிகளையும் ரத்துசெய்துவிட்டு மாலையில் ஆசிரமத்தில் கொண்டாட இருந்தோம். அதற்காக ஆசிரமத்தில் பெரிய மேடை அமைத்து அலங்காரங்கள் செய்து இருந்தோம். சட்டம் ஒழுங்கு பிரச்னை ஏற்பட்டுவிடும் என்று போலீஸார் அதற்கும் அனுமதி தர மறுத்து விட்டனர். நித்தியானந்தரின் மெழுகு சிலை பொம்மைகளும் ஓரங்கட்டப்பட்டன. கடைசியில், சத்சங்க நிகழ்ச்சியை மட்டும் ஒரு பெரிய ஹாலில் நடத்தினார். இந்த நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு டெல்லியில் இருந்து ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ நாராயண் சாய் சுவாமிகள் வந்து, நித்தியானந்​தரை வாழ்த்திச் சென்றார். பின்னர் பக்தர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் அங்கு இருந்தபடியே சுவாமி ஆசி வழங்கினார். இந்த நிகழ்ச்சிகள் பெரிய திரைகளில் ஒளிபரப்பு செய்யப்​பட்டது. பல தடைகளை மீறி, சுவாமி விழாவை நடத்திக் காட்டினார்'' என்றனர். இந்த விழாவுக்காக சேலம் மற்றும் நாமக்கல் மாவட்டங்களில் இருந்து ஆட் கள் அழைத்து வரப்பட்டு இருந்தனர். அவர்களுக்காக நகரில் லாட்ஜ், திருமண மண்டபங்கள் புக் செய்யப்பட்டன. சளைக் காமல் பேட்டி கொடுக்கும் நித்தி, இந்த முறை மீடியாவையைச் சந்திப்பதையே தவிர்த்தார். நித்தி விழாவுக்கு அனுமதி மறுக்கப்பட்டது குறித்து எஸ்.பி. முத்தரசியிடம் கேட்டதற்கு, ''கோயிலைச் சுற்றி யாரும் ஊர்வலம் வரக் கூடாது என் பதால் அனுமதி மறுக்கப்பட்டதே தவிர, அவர்களின் விழாவுக்கு நாங்கள் எந்தத் தடையும் விதிக்கவில்லை'' என்றார்

Nityananda sleaze CD genuine: CID

The video footage showing arrested self-styled godman Nityananda Swami in a compromising position with a Tamil actress is "genuine", a top CID official said on Thursday.
"The video footage is genuine. It is untampered and there is no indication of alteration in the video. As far as image comparison is concerned, that is still to be done," CID's Deputy IGP Charan Reddy told PTI.
Asked about efforts to trace the actress, Reddy said, "She is not an accused in this case. She will definitely come. When she comes, we will examine her."
The CD was sent to Central Forensic Science Laboratory Hyderabad for analysis where it was found to be authentic, he said.
The case was entrusted to CID for investigation after the scandal broke out in March when some TV channels aired the purported video footage.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka High Court reserved its order for Friday on a bail plea by Nityananda, arrested on criminal charges, including rape, from Solan in Himachal Pradesh on April 21.
Public Prosecutor Satish R. Girji told the court that the investigation was complete and since there was no material on record, they did not require Nityananda's further custody.

Madurai Adheenam & Nithyananda’s petition dismissed

The principal sub court here on Saturday dismissed the petition filed by Madurai adheenam

Arunagirinatha Desikar, in his plea, had also requested the court to dismiss the case filed by the Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR and CE), seeking his removal from the Madurai adheenam.

Stating that HR and CE department’s earlier plea filed in 1984 to remove him from the mutt was dismissed in 2001, he said that the case before the principal sub court here should be dismissed.

Principal sub-judge K. Guruviah, however, noted that the HR and CE department had filed a petition to revive the case. Therefore, he dismissed Arunagirinatha Desikar’s petition. The judge also declined to issue directions to the sub-registrar of Madurai South to cancel the registration of the Trust formed in collaboration with Nithyananda.

Nithyananda, in an impleading petition, sought to name the HR and CE Commissioner and Madurai South sub-registrar as respondents in the Adheenam’s case. It was also dismissed on Saturday.

The HR and CE department has accused the Madurai adheenam of trying to amass the mutt’s wealth by bidding to sell the properties for a cheap price. Arunagirinathar did not get permission from the department before forming a trust with Nithyananda, said HR and CE Commissioner P. Dhanapal in a petition, through which he also sought Arunagirinathar’s removal as the Madurai Adheenam. The HR and CE department’s case has been adjourned to Monday.

The 430-page chargesheet filed by the Karnataka CID on November 27 against Nithyananda was prompted by the complaint of a young lady (whose name and identity has been withheld by the CID as part of the witness protection programme) accusing the swami of sexual abuse at the Bidadi Ashram, 37 km from Bangalore, and in other locations. Her complaint says Nithyananda insisted on "seeking moksha through sexual union" with several female devotees by claiming to be incarnations of various gods.

The swami made them sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA) forbidding them to reveal sexual details. The signed NDA (in the possession of INDIA TODAY) states that "the volunteer understands that the programme may involve the learning and practice of ancient tantric secrets associated with male and female ecstasy, including the use of sexual energy for increased intimacy/spiritual connection, pleasure, harmony and freedom. Volunteer understands that these activities could be physically and mentally challenging and may involve nudity, access to visual images, graphic visual depictions and descriptions of nudity and sexual activity, close proximity and intimacy, verbal and written descriptions and audio sounds of a sexually oriented and erotic nature."

The agreement also absolves the ashram of any wrongdoing with an additional clause in the NDA: "By reading and signing this document, volunteer irrevocably acknowledges that he/she is voluntarily giving
unconditional acceptance of such activities and discharges the leader and the foundation, and anyone else not specifically mentioned here but directly or indirectly involved in the organisation, management or conduct of any such programmes from any liability, direct or indirect, arising from such activities."A further sentence states that the "volunteer also affirms that he/she does not find sexual or adult-oriented material associated with the practice of any tantric rituals or any other adult material to be offensive or objectionable."

DIG  of the CID says no court would admit an agreement like this, "full of illegalities, but we are quite sure that by the time the victims signed it, they had already been exploited or brainwashed with not much of a chance to protest." Documents seized from Madurai Aadheenam

MADURAI: After income tax officials raided the premises of Madurai Aadheenam on Saturday,� sources said that some documents have been seized for investigation. It was not known immediately whether any unaccounted cash was seized. Arunagirinatha Desigar was present during the search, officials of the mutt said. The mutt staff cooperated with the search team, they claimed. Officials of the mutt alleged that the raid was conducted to thwart the scheduled visit of Arunagirinatha Desigar to Tiruvannamalai to participate in the Pattabishekam of Nithyananda scheduled for Saturday evening.

They also alleged that the search was conducted at the behest of a Union minister. They said they expected such raids in Madurai Aadheenam after Nithyananda was anointed as the junior pontiff.

They recalled that such raids were conducted in the Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam in Bidadi, Karnataka. Arunagirinathar, the 292rd pontiff, left for Tiruvannamalai in the afternoon, after the search, to participate in the Pattabishekam.

The Madurai Mutt which has a history of 2,000 years was revived to glory by Tirugnana Sambandar, one of the four Saivite savants. There are several temples under its control including the famous Kanjanur temple in Thanjavur district.

நித்யானந்தா பொறுப்பு ஏற்ற மதுரை ஆதீன மடத்தில் சோதனை: வருமான வரித்துறை அதிரடி நடவடிக்கை

திருஞான சம்பந்தரால் 1,400 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு மதுரை ஆதீனம் மடம் தோற்றுவிக்கப்பட்டது. சைவ சித்தாந்த கொள்கைகளை உலகம் முழுவதும் பரப்பும் நோக்கத்துடன் தொடங்கப்பட்ட இந்த ஆதீனம் பாரம்பரிய சிறப்புக் கொண்டது.

மதுரை ஆதீனத்தின் பாரம்பரிய பெருமையை காக்க வேண்டுமானால், அந்த ஆதீனத்தை அரசே ஏற்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறி வருகிறார்கள். மதுரை ஆதீனத்தின் கோடிக்கணக்கான சொத்துக்களை நித்யானந்தா நிர்வகிக்க தடை விதிக்க வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த சொத்துக்கள் தொடர்பாக அரசுக்கு ஏராளமான புகார்கள் வந்தன.

 

குறிப்பாக மதுரை ஆதீன சொத்துக்கள் மற்றும் வரவு- செலவுகள் பற்றிய குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களும் எழுந்தன. இந்த நிலையில் மதுரை தெற்கு ஆவணி மூல வீதியில் உள்ள மதுரை ஆதீனத்தில் மதுரை மண்டல வருமான வரித்துறை அதிகாரிகள் இன்று திடீரென வருமான வரி சோதனை நடத்தினார்கள். மண்டல இணைக்கமிஷனர் கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி தலைமையில் 5 அதிகாரிகள் குழு இந்த சோதனையை நடத்தியது.

 

வருமான வரித்துறை அதிகாரிகள் சோதனையிட சென்றபோது மதுரை ஆதீனம் ஸ்ரீஅருணகிரிநாத ஞானசம்பந்த தேசிக பரம்மாச்சார்யா மட்டுமே இருந்தார். இளைய ஆதீனம் நித்யானந்தா இல்லை. நித்யானந்தா பெங்களூர் சென்றுவிட்டதால், அவரது சீடர்கள் சிலர் மட்டுமே ஆதீன வளாகத்தில் இருந்தனர். வருமான வரித்துறை அதிகாரிகள், ஆதீனத்தில் இருந்த யாரையும் வெளியில் செல்ல அனுமதிக்கவில்லை.

 

அதுபோல வெளியில் இருந்து யாரும் உள்ளே வர அனுமதிக்கவில்லை. எல்லா கதவுகளையும் மூடிக்கொண்டு சோதனை நடத்தினார்கள். மதுரை ஆதீனம் 2 மாடி கட்டிடம் மற்றும் வளாகத்தை கொண்டது. அந்த வளாகம் முழுவதும் எங்கு வேண்டுமா னாலும் சோதனை செய்து கொள்ளுங்கள் என்று பெரிய ஆதீனம் அனுமதி கொடுத்தார். இதையடுத்து ஆதீனம் முழுக்க ஒவ்வொரு அறையாக சென்று வருமான வரித்துறை அதிகாரிகள் சோதனை நடத்தினார்கள்.

 

அதிகாரிகள் 2 குழுவாகப் பிரிந்து இந்த சோதனையை மேற்கொண்டனர். நித்யானந்தா இளைய ஆதீனமாக பொறுப்பு ஏற்றபோது அவருக்கு தங்க கிரீடம் சூட்டப்பட்டது. கையில் தங்க செங்கோல் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. அதுபோல பெரிய ஆதீனமும் தங்க கிரீடம் மற்றும் கையில் தங்க செங்கோலுடன் காணப்பட்டார். ஸ்ரீஅருணகிரி ஞானசம்பந்தரும், நித்யானந்தாவும் ஏராளமான தங்க ஆபரணங்களும் அணிந்திருந்தனர். அந்த நகைகள் குறித்து வருமான வரித்துறையினர் ஆய்வு செய்ததாக தெரிய வந்துள்ளது.

Kanchi Seer says he does not support Nithyananda

Kancheepuram, May 5 : Adding fuel to the raging controversy over naming self styled Godman Nithyananda as the 293rd Madurai Saivite Mutt head, Seer of the Kanchi Sankara Mutt here, Jayendra Saraswathi, today declared that he did not support the 'appointment'.

The Kanchi Seer's statement against the 'coronation' of Nithyananda as the new Saivite Mutt head in the temple town of Madurai came in the wake of the latter's statement that he had the support of Sankara mutt. On May 1 a congregation of various mutt heads at a well known Arts college in Nagapattanam, had disapproved of the controversial and allegedly tainted Nithyananda as the Madurai Savite Mutt head.

They had also demanded that if the decision to coronate Nithyananda as the Madurai Saivite mutt head, they would initiate legal action against the 292nd Mutt head, who had decided to make Nithyananda his successor. Reacting to this Nithyananda in a press conference had claimed that he had the support of Kanchi mutt head, Ravisankar Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Ashok Singhal and a few leader of political parties as well as prominent personalities in the society.

However, dealing a blow to Nithyananda's statement, Kanchi Sankara mutt head Jayendra Saraswathi categorically stated that he did not support Nithyananda ss the new Saivite mutt head in Madurai. He also clarified that the Sankara mutt had no role in the appointment of Nithyananda.

However, the Kanchi mutt said he did not support the coronation. It may be recalled that Swamy Nithyananda had got into a controversy when a sleaze video tape showing him in compromising position with a Tamil actreess, who was his devotee, was shown on some private television channels in 2010.

RANJITHA' COMPLAINT: PROCEEDINGS STAYED லெனின் கருப்பன் வழக்கை விசாரிக்க உயர்நீதி மன்றம் இடைக்காலத் தடை

ஓசூர்: நித்யானந்தாவின் முன்னாள் ஓட்டுனரும், சீடருமான லெனின் கருப்பன் மீது நடிகை ரஞ்சிதா தொடர்ந்த வழக்கை விசாரிக்க கர்நாடக உயர்நீதிமன்றம் இடைக்காலத் தடை விதித்துள்ளது.

கடந்த சில மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பு பிரபல சாமியார் நித்தியானந்தாவும், நடிகை ரஞ்சிதாவும் மிக நெருக்கமாக உள்ள கிளுகிளு படுக்கை அறைக் காட்சிகள் பல்வேறு தொலைக்காட்சிகளில் ஒளிபரப்பாகி மக்களை கடும் அதிர்ச்சி அடைய வைத்தது.

இந்த நிலையில், இந்த வீடியோ காட்சிகள் அனைத்தும் பொய்யானவை என்றும், பெண்களை அவமானப்படுத்தும் வகையில் இக் காட்சிகள் சித்திரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்றும், ஆனாலும், இந்த காட்சிகள் பல்வேறு தொலைக்காட்சியில் திட்டமிட்டு ஒளிபரப்பியதாக நடிகை ரஞ்சிதா குற்றம் சாட்டி இருந்தார்.

மேலும், தன்னை லெனின் கருப்பன் பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்ய முயன்றதாக ராமநகரம் மாவட்ட நீதிமன்றத்தில் நடிகை ரஞ்சிதா மனு தாக்கல் செய்திருந்தார்.

இதனையடுத்து, லெனின் கருப்பனை கைது செய்து ஆஜர்படுத்த நீதிமன்றம் பிடிவாரண்ட் பிறப்பித்து உத்தரவிட்டது.

இந்த நிலையில், இந்த உத்தரவை எதிர்த்து கர்நாடக உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் லெனின் கருப்பன் முறையிட்டார்.

இதன் பேரில், லெனின் கருப்பன் மீது நடிகை ரஞ்சிதா தொடர்ந்த வழக்கை விசாரிக்க இடைக்காலத் தடை விதித்து கர்நாடக உயர் நீதி மன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

Proceedings stayed

 
The High Court on Thursday stayed further court proceedings against Lenin Karuppan, the complainant in the sex scandal involving self-styled godman Nithyananda.

A lower court in Ramanagara had taken cognisance of offence against Lenin and others, based on the private compliant filed by actor Ranjitha, accusing the former car driver of Nithyananda, and his two associates, of extortion and acts intended to insult the modesty of women.

The three accused, as per the private compliant by the actor, are charged under the Section 354, 384, 506 and 509 of the IPC. Lenin had approached the high court challenging the action of the Ramanagara court.
