Bangalore, Mar 11: After a PIL was filed in the High Court seeking direction to stop the repeated telecast of Swami Nithyanada's sex scandal video clips on the electronic media, Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and state Home Minister VS Acharya have both opined that the repeated telecast was in fact in bad taste.

The scandalous video which surfaced on Mar 2 shows Swami Nithyananda in a compromising position with Tamil actress Ranjitha. The sex scandal first came to light as the media aired the footage. The footage continues to be played in the media as the controversy refuses to die down.
"It (repeated telecast of the footage) does not adhere to our culture," the chief minister is quoted as saying in a Times of India report.
On the investigations into the scandal, BSY said that Tamil Nadu is yet to submit a report on the case. Acharya said that he has directed DC and SP of Ramanagaram to probe the case.

"I have heard that Tamil Nadu officials have said that the act has happened in Karnataka. The swami is absconding, unless the land belongs to the government, we can’t seize it. If there is any complaint, we will take action," the chief minister quoted as saying in the report published on Thursday, Mar 11
